Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Say Goodbye to Longtime ‘Live’ Studio After 35+ Years

It was an emotional moment on the set of Live with Kelly and Mark as the daytime talk show taped its final episode at its longtime studio before moving downtown. The last show at the Upper West Side location was filmed on April 1.

For 37 years, the studio at 7 Lincoln Square — on 67th Street and Columbus Avenue — served as the iconic home of the show. It first gained popularity with hosts Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford, and over the years welcomed a variety of familiar faces.

Kelly Ripa became part of the show in 2001 and has remained a steady presence through several co-host transitions, including her time with Michael Strahan and Ryan Seacrest after Regis’s departure in 2011. Her current co-host, husband Mark Consuelos, officially joined her on-air in April 2023.

Though Consuelos is a relatively new fixture on the show, he and Ripa both feel a strong emotional attachment to the studio, calling the move bittersweet — the end of a cherished chapter and the start of something new.
