San Pedro de Macorís, March 12, 2025 — Ruth Delania Sosa Marte, a resident of Barrio Lindo, tragically died in a road accident on the Eastern Highway at kilometer 10 in Cumayasa. The gray Mazda Demio she was traveling in lost control, resulting in a high-impact collision.
Two passengers, Angela Merici Ubiera Sosa and Maribel Sosa Polanco, survived and were rushed to Villa Hermosa Hospital in La Romana with multiple injuries. Ruth was pronounced dead at the scene, and her body was later examined and handed to her family for funeral arrangements.
