Folks, here’s an event that’s been around for 30 years

The streak of good weather stretched into Friday, and with it came a noticeable buzz of activity.

Parking lots and camping spots nearby were beginning to overflow with people setting up for the weekend.

Live bands kicked things off, and the legendary MC—none other than POGO—took the stage, showcasing his trademark talent for coaxing the ladies out of their clothes. Body painters were busy at work too, adding to the wild, colorful atmosphere.

The air was thick with the sweet aroma of campfires, a sure sign that Chili Party #30 was off to a lively start!

As night fell, a massive American flag was draped across the front stage, becoming the centerpiece of the evening. One by one, hundreds of partygoers stepped up to sign their names on it.

The flag is destined to be presented to a unit serving in Afghanistan, and the long line of eager signers made the moment feel truly special—it was the kind of thing that fills you with pride.
