Christian Bale Builds Homes to Keep Foster Siblings Together

Batman’s heart is making a real-world impact. Academy Award winner Christian Bale is spearheading a compassionate mission through his nonprofit Together California, creating a 12-home, $22 million village near Los Angeles. Its purpose is simple yet profound — to ensure siblings in foster care can stay together instead of being separated.

This visionary project, more than 16 years in development, stems not from celebrity status but from Bale’s deep empathy for children torn apart by the system. Each home in the village will include foster parents and transitional apartments for young adults aging out of care, offering safety, structure, and the feeling of family that so many have lost.

Beyond housing, the community will include a support center providing therapy, education, and life-skills training — all aimed at helping children recover and thrive together. With the first residents expected to move in by late 2025, Bale’s initiative is redefining what it means to be a hero — not on screen, but in the lives of the children who need one most.
