Sandra has been gradually returning to the spotlight and her career since August 2023, following the death of her longtime partner, Bryan Randall, who passed away from ALS. According to a source quoted by Us Weekly, she is “excited about the future” and feels “ready to have fun again.”

She was last photographed on July 12 in Beverly Hills, where she appeared relaxed and smiling. Sandra celebrated her 60th birthday on July 26. She stepped away from acting in March 2022, announcing at the time that she needed a break after a career spanning more than 50 films, including Miss Congeniality and The Blind Side.

Now, Sandra is preparing for a return to the screen alongside Nicole Kidman in Practical Magic 2, a sequel to the beloved original film. Someone close to her shared that she is “really excited” about the project and especially looks forward to working with Nicole again.

While Sandra is “open to the idea” of dating in the future, her main focus remains on her children and continuing to heal after Bryan’s passing. Though the process hasn’t been easy, she is steadily finding her way back to the life and career she loves.
