Working as a wedding photographer may seem exciting. You get to meet brides and grooms, interact with their families and guests, and sometimes travel to beautiful locations for special events.
But behind the camera, the job can be far more stressful and unpredictable than people imagine.
Photographers often find themselves witnessing uncomfortable, chaotic, or downright unbelievable situations that make them wonder if they chose the right career.
From demanding brides and difficult grooms to unexpected disasters during the ceremony, wedding photographers have seen plenty of strange moments while trying to capture the perfect memories.
Several photographers shared some of their most unforgettable experiences on Reddit, admitting that they never expected to witness anything like them.

The wedding ceremony was supposed to take place on a pier. The couple and the wedding planner kept looking at the weather radar on their phones, trying to decide whether they should hold the ceremony outside or move everything indoors because rain was approaching.
I looked toward the pier and told them, “I don’t know what your radar is showing, but those definitely look like rain clouds.”
Despite the warning, they decided to go ahead with the ceremony on the pier.
Sure enough, only about three minutes after the ceremony began, it started raining.
Then, completely unexpectedly, a man showed up carrying a heart-shaped wicker box.
I always ask couples beforehand if there is anything unusual or special about their ceremony that I should know about. Nobody had mentioned this to me, so I had no idea what was happening.
Still, I simply kept taking photos.
The man handed the box to the bride. When she opened it, I discovered that there were two doves inside.
At first, I thought it was pretty cool. I had heard about couples releasing doves during weddings, but I had never actually photographed one myself.
Unfortunately, these two birds clearly had other plans.
They just sat inside the box, seemingly refusing to cooperate. With the rain pouring down and the beach around them, the doves appeared to be thinking, “Absolutely not.”
